CONGRATULATIONS and WELCOME to Dance 4U. Read below to get ready for class.
1. BEFORE YOU START
When you show up to class please try to come 5 minutes early. If you have any registration questions let the instructors know as soon as possible. Remember everyone is new so please try to say hello to everyone else. You don't need any special shoes at first, however please bring a change of shoes if the weather is bad to prevent damage to the dance floors.
2. DURING CLASS
Remember that everything is hard at first and that the steps maybe confusing for the first few classes. During the class we will have opportunities to dance in partners as well as individually. Partner rotations are a standard practice as its helps to accelerate learning, allows you to meet the other people in the class and also give everyone a chance to dance in case of an uneven ratio.
3. AFTER CLASS
Go out social dancing and practice what you learned in class. Every little bit helps and makes a big difference in how quickly you learn and become comfortable with the steps. Also we always like to have a little social after our last class with all the levels. We dance, talk and have a few social beverages. Success is enjoying the process. To learn about social dance events be sure to check out the events page, receive our newsletter, and be part of our facebook group.
